Spindle liner

The spindle liner is a reduction tube for the main spindle on the spindle stock of a CNC lathe. It is used to adjust the spindle to the size of the loading magazine guide channel or, in the case of a short bar loader, to the size of the material bar. The spindle liner guarantees optimum guidance of the material bars or the pusher, if they are smaller than the internal diameter of the spindle. German manufacturer FMB Maschinenbau is a specialist and market leader in the field of bar loading magazines. The company’s material flow systems enjoy an excellent reputation all over the world. Automation technology for the machining sector also forms part of FMB’s core competence. The robust loading magazines work with single-spindle lathes, both sliding and fixed headstock, and can also be designed for multi-spindle lathes. The bar guidance in a loading magazine for processing long bars is by means of an oil-flushed guide channel, where materials are supported during the feed process by the hydrodynamic bearing effect. A loading magazine part of a loading system. FMB also manufactures unload systems, such as the UNIROBOT industrial robots.
