Bar loading magazine for short bars

The FMB short loader is the perfect choice when the maximum material bar corresponds to the spindle length.

FMB also offers the appropriate loading magazine for machining processes on lathes where the the maximum material bar corresponds to the spindle length. In this case the shortening of the bar will negate the need for the loading magazine guide function. The bars are stocked within the loading magazine and pushed onto the lathe spindle. The staged follow-up of the bars on the spindle in accordance with the required part length is performed by a pusher. After the material bar has been machined, a new material bar is separated out and transferred to the channel. This is an open channel as no guidance of the bar is needed.

This system is generally suitable for bars with round, hexagonal, quadratic or even custom exterior contours in full cross-section. The bar materials used are steels, aluminium, brass and thermoplastics or thermosetting plastics.

This system has been designed for use with short-turning single spindle lathes. Especially when machining larger diameter bars, flexible small-series machining or items with very requirements for high precision and reproducibility of the parts to be machined, lathes can be economically automated with an FMB short loader.
