Material flow systems

Material flow systems are automated units for industrial production processes. They are used, for example, to feed semifinished products or blanks to a machine tool or to remove finished parts. Several machine tools can also be linked to form part of the material flow. An example of such a material flow is a loading magazine from FMB Maschinenbau, used in machining, or more precisely, with CNC lathes. The material bar is moved automatically via the loading magazine guide channel from behind into the main spindle of the lathe. Examples of materials used are profiled bars and round materials. Systems of this kind can be installed with both fixed and sliding headstock lathes There are also custom-designed solutions that can be attached to multi-spindle lathes.

The steady forms a stabilising element between a loading magazine for long material bars and the single-spindle lathe. This feeds the material bar to the lathe spindle stock where it is held in place by the collet. Remnant pieces that cannot be processed by the lathe are removed through the remnant flap of the bar loading magazine.
