Clamping mandrel

The clamping mandrel is a sprung clamping element at the head end of the pusher in a loading magazine, for the internal clamping of e.g. raw materials. The clamping sleeve, on the other hand, is a clamping element for the external clamping of a material bar (e.g. round material). The collet is the clamping element for the raw materials processed by a machine tool, such as a CNC lathe or milling machine. FMB produces a range of bar loading magazines, and its loading systems are valued in the international machining sector for their quality and precision. Available for single-spindle lathes (fixed headstock/sliding headstock) and multi-spindle lathes, FMB bar loading magazines are the top brand of material flow systems. Loading magazines, fed through a lateral material storage system or bar lift, include types that are fitted with an oil-flushed guide channel, where the material bars are conveyed with hydrodynamic bearing effect. The connecting steady with its stabilising effect and guide tube or telescopic tube propels them from behind directly into the main spindle of the lathe. Remnant pieces are removed from the loading magazine via the remnant flap.
