Collet

The clamping element of a machine tool (CNC lathe, milling machine), with which the material bars, round material, profiled bars, workpieces or tools are securely clamped by means of a sleeve, usually slotted and conical in shape, is known as a collet. The loading magazine, also known as a bar loading magazine, ensure the smooth flow of materials in machining processes. FMB has been manufacturing material flow systems for long-turning and short-turning lathes in Germany since 1980. The material bars are conveyed through the guide channel directly to the main spindle of the lathe. Once a workpiece has been machined, it is removed by the unload system. This can take the form of industrial robots with gripper system, such as the FMB UNIROBOT. Remnant pieces that are no longer suitable for the loading magazine are removed through a remnant flap. New material is brought to the material storage system by elements such as a bar lift or bundle loader, before being moved on to the oil-flushed guide channel used with certain types of loading magazine.
