Sub-spindle

The sub-spindle is a component within a CNC lathe that is arranged counter to the main spindle. It enables a workpiece to be machined from both sides. In the case of a spindle reduction tube, however, it can be the reduction tube to adapt the main spindle of the lathe to the dimensions of the guide channel on the loading magazine or the material bar (round material) in the case of a short-bar loader.
