CNC stands for Computerized Numerical Control – for example, of a lathe. In the case of a loading magazine this is a loading system or material flow system, which feeds the lathe with e.g. material bars or profiled bars. FMB Maschinenbau, based in Bavaria, is a market leader in the field of bar loading magazines. For many years, FMB has also been producing handling systems that are used worldwide. FMB also has an excellent reputation in the industry for systems for unloading through the sub-spindle. FMB Maschinenbau develops and produces loading magazines for long and short material bars (short loaders). These are used for both single-spindle and multi-spindle lathes. The loading magazines from FMB can be, and often are, adapted to suit individual requirements with the addition of optional extra components such as bar lifters, synchronizing devices, bundle loaders and capacity adjustment sets.

FMB also markets handling systems consisting of industrial robots with gripper systems all over the world, under its UNIROBOT brand. The company has also developed a safety fence system especially for this area of activity, to enclose the robot cell and protect people. This fence system can also be used with milling machines or in other machining environments.
